What's the name of your band? What's the origin of that name?
One New Years Eve in Manhattan, Scott got wasted and did way too much meth. He was sick for so long after, it felt like it could have been a century. Hence the name Sick Century was vomited into the world.
What are your names, nicknames and corresponding instruments?
Marc Kahn - Vocals
Scott Hoon - Guitar
Nick Black - Bass
Brady Hearn - Drums
If you could fill a pool with anything but water, what would it be?
Probably Jagermeister, Instagram models..
What’s an average day like for the band?
To be honest its working on new music most of the day. We are a new band and there’s a ton of songs already, ideas, riffs, etc. We’re usually in different locations so we’re all writing and sharing ideas constantly.
Where/When was your last show, when/where is your next show?
We are in the process of making a killer set and using this time to put together something really special. 2021 plans are to jump on some tours when things start opening up.
What are some of the best pranks you as band mates have pulled on each other?
Since finding the dark web, we like to spike a drink every now and again with research chemicals. It’s fun to see whether the effects are performance enhancing or just plain retarded.
How has your music evolved since you first began playing together?
We started with a few releases in 2018-19 being only a two man operation. Brady and Nick came on board in January of this year and we dropped our first single as a band, so we’re really just getting started. Them Bones (AIC cover) comes out on Spotify and avail. for download this month.
What is your favorite part about this line of work? Your least favorite?
Playing live, jamming. There’s no least favorite. We are very fortunate to be able to play music and do what we love.
If you were a superhero, what would your power be?
Gonna have to go with Elephantiasis.
What advice do you have for people who want to form their own bands?
Don’t second guess yourself. Follow your true passion. Don’t listen to anyone
Who are some of your favorite musicians?
All the bands and artists who have gone broke and signed bad deals and lost huge amounts of money to record labels. It's really inspired us to not be complete idiots, acquire basic reading comprehension skills, and hire a lawyer.
What is the craziest thing you've ever received from a fan?
Most of our fans were found through Facebook Ads. We've attracted an interesting segment of fans that are into something called "pup play". Its where you dress up like puppies in bondage gear with your
buds, and then, well, play with each other. Some people might consider that weird, but hey, live and let live we say. They haven't asked us for anything...yet.
What song of yours means the most to you and why?
Good question. We like all our songs but I think the next one will be the most meaningful. We can’t give the title away but the concept can be likened to having intercourse with and murdering role model celebrities such as Kim K., Cardi B. That sorta thing.
14. How can people gain access to your music?
If you had one thing to say to all your fans, what would it be?
BUY OUR SHIRTS. STREAM US ON SPOTIFY. PRAISE THE DARK LORD.
